History & Growth

Collegiate was established in 1986 at a time when Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) was often unobtainable or prohibitively expensive.

Against this difficult background, Collegiate sought to provide niche insurance solutions to professionals to ensure they had the wherewithal to meet their liabilities. 

Our philosophy today is still the same as it was then – we are the only insurer to provide PI cover to IFAs consistently for over 25 years without a break – a record none of our competitors can match. Collegiate clients have had total satisfaction in knowing that we have never withdrawn from the market and left them exposed.
