In 1986, Tony was instrumental in setting up Collegiate. He is now CEO of the Collegiate Group . |  |  |  | Martin Archer Director Legal and Claims Qualifications: LL.B, Solicitor (non-practising) Martin read law at University College Cardiff and qualified as a Solicitor with Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, a well regarded insurance firm specialising in Professional Indemnity, defending negligence claims against a range of professionals but in particular solicitors, accountants and architects. He moved in-house with Save & Prosper and then BUPA before joining Collegiate Management Services Ltd in April 1995. Martin has overall responsibility for ensuring claims notified are dealt with in a cost-effective and efficient manner. He has solid experience with Professional Indemnity claims against a range of disciplines, in particular financial advisers, insurance brokers, surveyors and accountants. Martin has also provided detailed responses to a number of Consultation Papers issued by the Regulators on behalf of Underwriters and has been closely involved in the Judicial Review of the Security Investment Board’s guidance on the pension review and the ‘Test Case’ on the ‘Windfall Shares’ issue. |  |  |  | Mark Gibbon Managing Director Qualifications: LL.B, FCA, AFPC, CTA Mark read law at Newcastle University before embarking on a career in the accountancy profession. He has held senior management positions in both large and small accountancy practices before joining Collegiate at the end of 1994. He is Group Managing Director with overall responsibility for managing the business, and was previously the Finance Director. |

 |  | Mark Campbell Senior Claims Manager Qualifications: BA (Hons) Financial Planning Certificate (FPC3) Mark read Communication Studies & Writing and Publishing at Middlesex University before training as a Financial Adviser with City Financial Partners Ltd and Friends Provident. He joined Collegiate in 1998, dealing with Professional Indemnity Claims from Independent Financial Advisers and Insurance Brokers. Also, claims from structural engineers and accountants. Mark is responsible for the day-to-day management of claims from numerous large IFA Networks on behalf of Underwriters. Duties include providing advice and guidance to both individual insured firms and Network compliance personnel in respect of claims. Mark is also involved in defending claims before the Financial Ombudsman Service and negotiating settlements, dealing with indemnity issues and policy coverage, training and supervision of new staff. |  |  |  | Mark Bates Senior Claims Manager Qualifications: LL.B (Hons), Solicitor (Non-Practising) Mark read law at the University of Luton and received a Hoffman Scholarship for International Jurisprudence and Human Rights in Strasbourg. Mark qualified as a Solicitor with Staffurth & Bray specialising in Civil Litigation before joining the Collegiate Legal Team in February 2001. He is responsible for a diverse range of Professional Indemnity claims. |  |  |  | Robert Lewis Senior Claims Manager Qualifications: LL.B (Hons), Solicitor (Non-Practising) Robert read law at the University of East Anglia. He qualified with Eversheds in September 2001 having gained experience during his training, in Commercial Law, Property and Commercial Litigation. During his training contract, Robert also gained in-house experience with Norwich Union working in the Life & Pensions Legal Department focusing primarily on endowment complaints and IFA compensation claims. Robert joined Collegiate in March 2003 as a Claims Manager in the Legal Department. |  |  |  | Alexandra Mosley Claims Manager Qualifications: BA (Hons) PGDL Alex graduated from University College Durham with a Classics Degree in 2002, before completing the Postgraduate Diploma The College of Law (commendation). During her studies, she gained a range of insurance and legal experience through work placements with Marsh, Charles Taylor Risk and various law firms. Alex joined Collegiate in December 2004 as a Claims Manager, focusing on a range of Professional Indemnity claims against IFAs. |  |  |  | Jon Stagg Claims Manager Jon graduated from the University of East Anglia with a joint honours degree in Sociology and History in 2004, before completing the Post Graduate Diploma in Law at London Metropolitan University. Before attending university Jon gained ten years experience of the insurance market working with both Lowndes Lambert UK Ltd (now Heath Lambert) and Norwich Union. Jon joined Collegiate in August 2005 as a Claims Manager, focusing on a range of Professional Indemnity claims against IFAs. |  |  |  | Fizza Ahmad Claims Manager Qualifications: LLB Law Hons Fizza read Law at the London Metropolitan University and went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at Westminster University in 2004. During her studies, Fizza worked for Devitt Insurance Services, dealing with General Insurance in their New Business Department. After completing her Legal Practice Course, Fizza worked for a High Street Law firm and gained experience in Commercial and Residential Property, Family, Crime and Housing Law. Fizza joined Collegiate in March 2006 as a Claims Manager, focusing on a range of Professional Indemnity Claims against IFA’s. |  |  |  | Laura Mullins Claims Handler Laura read Law at The University of Kent, Canterbury and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law, Bloomsbury in 2007. During her studies, she gained a range of experience through work placements with financial firm Smith & Williamson and various law firms. Laura joined Collegiate in September 2007 as a Claims Handler, focusing on a range of Professional Indemnity Claims |  |  |  | Sophie Wong Claims Handler Sophie Read Law at Brunel University where she completed a four-year work placement degree and graduated in July 2008. During her studies she gained a range of experience by completing two six-month work placements in the legal profession. Sophie’s first placement was with Collegiate where she gained experience in the Claims Department. Sophie’s second placement was with the Ministry of Defence Legal Team for Treasury Solicitors where she assisted with high profile cases and inquests. Sophie joined Collegiate in March 2009 as a Claims Handler, focusing on a range of Professional Indemnity Claims. |  |  |  | Stuart Worman Claims Handler Qualifications: LLB Law Hons Stuart read Law at Queen Mary and Westfield College and received the Pearl Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement. He went on to work at the Treasury Solicitor’s Department and assisted on many high profile cases including the Nuclear Test Veterans litigation. Stuart joined Collegiate in July 2009 as a Claims Handler, focusing on a range of Professional Indemnity Claims. |
